| Happy birth of Baby Jesus week! Hola hoopla zarniwoopla it's baste me in the Summer sun time again and even more miraculous than the birth of the son of God is a site update! Firstly there are some new promo shots of me bruvva and the cat which have been making it into the local press after a festivale of interviews and then there's the new MOOG VOYAGER in the studio which is so monstrously heavy and cool looking we just stared at it for a week going "blleerrgh meh pweeeep". Brilliant.
Also Also Augember ze ferteenf - TIME OFF decide to review PROJECT VECTREX and give us 4 stars! Come on you rabid bastards! SUPERFLUID On the follow-up to their 2003 debut 8-Bit Crunch , local crew Superfluid have succeeded where hundreds before them have failed, crafting a sprawling double album that never sinks under the weight of its own ambition. Disc one has a slightly stoned air of craziness about it, with the blunted hip-hop and jazzy vibe of ‘Pam's On Pills' setting the tone early. Dope ‘N' Dusted, Blue MC and a roll call of locals lend their skills to proceedings, but it's on disc two that Superfluid mastermind Nil Zero really flexes his muscle. From the stomping hardstyle breaks of opener ‘Hard Ass Lick' (Cardassia Mix), the disc flows as seamlessly as any DJ set, even sneaking some elements of (gasp!) trance and hard house into the mix. It's hard to believe Superfluid haven't developed a rabid local following. With releases as good as Project Vectrex , international success surely beckons. 4/5(Gloria Lewis) Also Augobahn 13kmh - SF track in DESTROY ALL HUMANS on PS2 and XBOX!!
Scratch off the last in our initial list of goals as we get a track into a videogame. Featuring human slaughter by the poolside to SF jazz and NIL is a happy man. hurrah Gribbly! Look for the SPECIAL THANKS on MERCENARIES too. Augoblah t'13 - SF to support DJ SOUP and his new release "Beatroot" in September Augoleenie there 12fd 2005 - SF to support Propellorheads and FSOL (live) at Earthcore - holy crap! Augustus 11st 2005 - like a number 7 bus the site gets an update! (There's none for ages and then they all show up at once) New Release
Instinctive Travels has just launched its second volume in the compilation series Lazy Days and Sundays. "Lazy Days and Sundays II is a sublime collection of meticulously selected beats for the mind, not the feet. " apparently. who are we to argue as one of our personal fave tracks True Analogue makes it. Named incorrectly on the album of course but it wouldn't be rock and roll without the names being all muffed eh.
To celebrate the Launch of hyper compilation Evolutionary Vibes 5 and the thunderous reviews for Frequency Response thereon SUPERFLUID have a whole 60 minute mixup jam on the 12th of March. Expect some old, some new and some funny crap for mixmaster Abunai. Don't touch that dial.......no, not that one THAT one. Of course you can touch _that_ dial. Just not the one i'm talking about. featuring Frequency Response _26th of February - The reviews are in and the Fluid are Super!_
_31st of January - Destroy all Humans!_ Just think of the money you'd save in toilet paper! Well, the Moon Bar tasted the first bout of 2005 Superfluidness and a modest crowd danced immodestly for the dual set neatness that we purveyed. The young-uns seemed a bit confused at our "rather tasty" DK remix which was nice. Also, the Gribster is back in Brisbane to promote his hugely awesome game Mercenaries and Nil is putting on his bestest pair of trousers and arming himself to the teeth with the old and new album to plug at getting sounds on furture gaming trifficness. We shall see. _23rd of January - Snail entrails yum yum!_ Well here we are in 2005 and only 5 more years until the big freaky obelisk thing makes a return to confuse the crap out of movie goers and monkeys everywhere. But in the here and now, JJJ have just started FREQUENCY RESPONSE on medium rotation so here's hoping they like it enough to get us high. _Bromshankaaaa man_ Our next gig is on the 29th at the MOONBAR (our fave club in Brizzy) and it looks like we might be back off to Adelaide some time soon. CVibes have taken Project Vectrex to Midem in gay Paris so here's hoping we can get some *FULLY SICK* international distribution. Other news is that Gribbly's game MERCENARIES has gone ballistic on it's US release getting nothing less than 9/10 (some as high as 9.3) from the big review maggies and sites! He's a fraggin superstar but we always knew that.....coz he was always telling us =P Bloody top stuff. Go buy it on Xbox, Ps2 and PC *right now* MERECENARIES by PANDEMIC via LUCASARTS. Actually, the STAR WARS connection runs strong through SF. Red J drew an official Star Wars comic, Grib works for a company affiliated with Lucas arts gaming and the rest of us all hate Episode 1. Coz it's crap.
